The Question: 

How can I own my own life?  

&mpersand Answers: 

I didn’t know I’d be quoting the lead singer of the heavy metal band Metallica this week, but wisdom is to be found in all sorts of places.  

Of course, this bit of it goes right along with MYOB, one of the tenets I think is left out of much too much spirituality. If minding your own business is part of living a spiritual life, and I believe it is, then this idea is also true. 

You get to live your own life your way, and I get to live my own life mine. 

It has a corollary, too. I don’t get to weigh in on how you choose to do that, unless you invite that from me, nor do you get to weigh in on mine unless I invite that from you. 

No mistakes, this is the perfect application of The Golden Rule.  

What’s the best way to own your own life?  

Let others own their own lives.
