The Question: 

How can I learn to see opportunity?

I live in an Arts & Crafts house that was built in 1940. It’s full of rich, aged woodwork with soaring (and rare) round columns bracketing the entry to the living room, and warm, inviting doors everywhere else.  

Why, just in the downstairs alone, there are (and now I’m going to get up from my desk and go count them, which in ten years of living in the house, I’ve never done) fourteen doors. 

In this anonymous quote, we are assured that doors are everywhere, but I would caution you that they don’t always appear as doors per se. Namely, sometimes an opportunity is a door. Sometimes a dare is a door. Sometimes a risk is a door. 

Doors—meaning chances to fulfill your dreams—really are everywhere, as long as you know where and how to look for and recognize them. Doors are sometimes just wild ideas. 

The point here, though, is: unless you open the doors, whether they’re physical or metaphysical, you cannot avail yourself of their blessings. Learn to see doors as invitations to good, better, best, Belovèd, and then go ahead, open the next one.
