What Pleases You?
I spent some of Labor Day scrolling through more than seven thousand pieces of Chintzware on ebay.
Why?
For the sheer feeling of pleasure it gives me.
Here’s a sampling:
Chintz was made by various potters in England, most notably Royal Winton, and just looking at the patterns pleases me.
So again, why do I do it?
Well, truthfully, sometimes I buy Chintzware because I am building a collection of it, but more often, I just look at it just because it pleases me. Here are my two patterns: Welbeck and Hazel.
You must know the basic principle of the Law of Attraction, no?
Offer a good thought, one that causes a good feeling, at all times, and most especially when you are creating. Well, at the moment, I am creating the biggest project I’ve ever created—putting my novels into the world, and I want nothing more than the feeling of being pleased, and so I trawl Chintzware on ebay in the name of rehearsing the feeling of pleasure.
In my practice, people often lament that they don’t know how to offer the next best feeling/thought. Trawl ebay and look at what pleases you.
