Upset

seed__double_headerR

Are you upset? Do you know why? Upsets are the number one reason human beings tell themselves stories. When we’re upset, we’re more inclined to believe the stories we tell ourselves, too.

Truth to tell, there’s a much simpler reason we’re upset than we usually tell ourselves. It’s this: we’ve been set up. What’s set us up? Oh, our dreams, our goals, our expectations, something in our unconscious—it doesn’t really matter.

What matters is this: if you can remember that set-up precedes upset every time, you stand a chance of turning the upset from upset to uplift. The key is remembering the set-up.

Say to yourself: Ah! I must have set this up, to create this upset, so that I can choose to let it uplift me instead.

Be brilliant,
