Just … Trust Yourself

As soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live.

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Goethe is a wise one, there’s no doubt, but wow. When I saw this, it stopped mein my tracks. That’s it, really, isn’t it? It … life … comes down to trusting yourself.

When I looked for a graphic, the one above was first on Google. I had to look up whether it was Dr. Benjamin Spock or Star Trek’s Spock. Turns out, it’s the baby doc. He said this to young mothers (at the time). We could upgrade it to young parents.

Here’s the Abraham Hicks quote from the same day: You see, you’re giving others too much power as you even acknowledge how they make you feel. What you’ve got to decide is how I’m going to feel. We would go to a Virtual Reality and we would practice feeling good. Manifestations come on the heels of what you’ve conjured in thought.

And here is where we find the key. Once we get it that how we feel in any given moment is an INSIDE JOB, then we learn systematically to trust ourselves because we’re the ones we’re creating for.

So what are you to trust yourself for?

To listen to advice, and take what’s good for you and leave the rest.

To know what to eat, when to sleep, when to put on a sweater.

To decide who to be in relationship with and whom to let pass by.

To listen within and follow what you know is true for you.

Really, when you learn to trust yourself to do the best for you, then it’s easy after that.

The thing is: we keep forgetting that we need to trust ourselves.

That’s why it was worth repeating here.
